Anchor: In the Korean music industry dominated either by dance idol groups or ballad singers, bands are becoming the new trend. The change comes as the age range as well as preference of music listeners among the public are increasingly broadened. Kim Jae Yong reports:
This idol band rose to the center of the music industry. Though they were labeled “good-looking flower boys” and received criticisms such as “only band in appearance”, they’re sweeping both domestic and international music charts with their explosive live performances and vocal abilities.
Lee Jong Hyun (CNBLUE): Because we’re playing live instead of MR, it allows us to create all of the sound, including the audience response. I think in terms of energy, bands really have their strength.
